Eligibility Criteria

Only Indian citizens can apply.

Age Limits (as of July 1, 2026):

Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years

Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years

CPL holders can apply up to 26 years for the Flying Branch.

Educational Requirements

For Flying: You need to have passed 10+2 with 50% in Physics and Maths, plus a 3-year degree with 60% or an Engineering degree with 60%.

For Ground Duty (Technical): You need 10+2 with Physics and Maths, plus a 4-year Engineering degree.

For Ground Duty (Non-Technical): You need a graduation degree in any stream with at least 60% or specific fields depending on the position.

Selection process

Written Exam (Online AFCAT): This covers General Awareness, English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude. If you’re a technical candidate, you also take the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

AFSB Interview: This involves some psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interviews.

Medical Exam: You have to pass the physical and medical standards that the IAF sets.

Final Merit List: Created based on how well you did in the written exam, interview, and medical.

For NCC Special Entry: No fee needed.
