Important Dates
The notification opens on June 6, 2025.
You can start applying online on the same day, June 6.
Application by June 26 at 11:00 PM.
If you’re paying fees online, the last day for that is June 27.
There’s a correction window from July 1 to 2 if you need to fix anything.
Age Limit
Age-wise, as of August 1, 2025, if you’re applying for Grade C, you should be between 18 and 30 years old. For Grade D, it’s 18 to 27. Don’t forget, if you’re in a reserved category like SC, ST, or OBC, age relaxations apply.
Application Fee
For general and OBC folks, it’s Rs. 100.
If you’re SC, ST, PwBD, a woman, or an ex-serviceman, you’re off the hook for fees. Payments can be made online only, using net banking, UPI, debit or credit cards.
How To Apply

Exam Pattern
Computer-Based Examination (CBT): The test will have multiple-choice questions from a few areas. General Intelligence and Reasoning: 50 questions for 50 marks. General Awareness: 50 questions for 50 marks. English Language and Comprehension: 100 questions, 100 marks total. There’s a total of 200 marks available and you’ll have 2 hours to complete it. Watch out, though! You lose 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Skill Test in Stenography: If you pass the CBT, you’ll move on to this part. For Grade C, you need to dictate at 100 words per minute. For Grade D, it’s 80 words per minute. The test checks your shorthand and transcription skills in English or Hindi.
